71/367: Warren Zevon - Carmelita

i. will. not. post. a. happy. song. until. i. fucking. feel. fucking. happy. again.

the problem is bummer songs are often great songs, & i hope i don’t empty the well, as it were.  seeing as how i need to come up with 290+ more artists to finish off this mixtape-blog.  i think it’s doable.

i love Zevon.  this is a wonderful song to have at hand whenever somebody shits on country music.  some of the best music is country music & some of the worst music is country music.  just like most other kinds of music.

oh yeah, i forgot to mention during my “Pale Blue Eyes” post, but that would be the second entry in my “Yes I Have At Some Point Been Made to Cry By These Songs; I’m not Ashamed; Ok Maybe a Little Ashamed, But I’m Working Through It” series.  Close followers of my blog (read: just me!! only me!!) might remember the first entry in this series, the Magnetic Fields song “How to Say Goodbye,” from a long arfing (dog cursing) time ago.  So, just thought i’d mention that….
